To the Freeman Foundation:
From the bottom of my heart, I would like to send my sincerest gratitude for giving me the financial means to turn my lifelong dream of studying abroad into a reality. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to explore the world and experience attending a foreign university at least once in my lifetime but the hefty cost was always a deterrence of actually being able to carry through with it. So the fact that I am currently in South Korea doing just that right now with less burden on my shoulders is absolutely mind boggling to me and I am forever grateful for the opportunity. As a Freeman scholar here in South Korea, I will put my best foot forward to be a good representative of the Freeman Foundation and the Shidler College of Business. I hope that the blog that I maintain and experiences that I gain here are instrumental in helping students just like me either in further encouraging them to pursue an education abroad or just help them along in their preparations. I am proud and extremely happy to be an advocate for studying abroad and am, again, eternally grateful for the support in my exchange and international explorations.
To my advisors, Kathy, Clare, and Shauna:
I just want to say thank you so much to all the UH Manoa staff, especially my advisors Kathy, Clare, and Shauna that have helped me through the past 2-3 years get to where I am today in regards to studying abroad. I’m finally here and I could not have done it without all of your help and encouragement every semester!!! Thank you for listening to me worry and stress about all the application requirements, informing me of deadlines that I have to make, helping me sort my wild schedule to make sure I have everything I need to graduate, and so much more. Your support was truly everything to me and I hope to help other students just as much as you’ve helped me.
